Hmm...worse than my proctor for the June SAT IIs...I had this total idiot who thought everyone from my school was a cheater (a small cheating scandal was already blowing over at the school), then proceeded to make many stupid side comments. Then he took 45 minutes to explain the test, then repeated it. So basically, I went into the room at 8:20 (He was examining every single one of our IDs and making more stupid comments), and we started the test around 9:15. Needless to say, it was quite annoying when other classrooms had already finished when we were 1/2way through the test and people were talking outside. And he didn't close the door. Until about 2 minutes before the test ended.

Yeah. And apparently he always proctors the test for the near-the-end-of-the-alphabet people like me for that particular high school. Too bad though--next one I take will be at another one...total idiot.

I don't know - maybe listening is first even before writing?
By the way college board has not replied to my question. Does anyone of you have experience with complaining to CB and can give me an advice how to reach them and be compensated?

A friend of mine called CB to complain that her proctor did not give her five-minute warnings on the October SAT. She was told that she could choose to cancel her October score and take the November SAT at no charge. However, she had to make her decision whether to cancel the score without knowing what the score actually was; CB wouldn't tell her her score until she had agreed to keep it. BUT they did tell her how many she had gotten right/wrong/omitted on the test, so we were able to calculate her approximate score, anyway, based on previous score scales. I don't know if the person she spoke to on the phone was supposed to reveal this information or not, but for those of you trying to make the same decision--it can't hurt to ask!
