I want to major in neuroscience but I also want to attend medical school after I graduate. What schools have the best program for this? I heard Brown has a great neuroscience department, but I'm not sure about incorporating a combined pre-med curriculum.. What path do you have to take in order to become a neurosurgeron or neurologist?

Penn, Hopkins, and Duke also have good neuroscience programs. Maybe Vanderbilt, too. Brown does have a great one.

Try searching around for the medical school requirements. You only need 1 year of physics, 1 year gen chem, 1 year orgo (I think?), 1 year physics, 1 year bio. Please don’t quote that since I’m not too sure.

Neurosurgeon on this board recommend Johns Hopkins and Brown for neurosurgery… I cannot find the exact post… It’s hidden away deep in the CC abyss…

thanks maybe ill try searching for it

John Hopkins is the best for neurosurgery

Go to a good state school honors program with lots of NIH research funds, and save your money for med school.
