I want out. NOW

I didn't mean to give the impression that I hate the school itself--I just wasn't involved in school-related extra-curriculars.

But what do you mean by "cool" classes? If you mean taking random but interesting electives, I wasn't able to because of the way my program worked out (in fact, I didn't really get to choose any of my classes), but that's not going to be true for everyone. It really is what you make of it.

I finally got a link for my registration guide (COM) and I think I'll be able to make it flexible.

Do you happen to anyone who did the Core? If so, did they feel it was worthwhile? I don't if I"ll be able to so late in the game, but it sounds like something I might be interested in.

Core is an option for CAS only.

Which Core are you referring to?

The only one I know of; the Core Curriculum: www.bu.edu/core

My apologies--that was directed to star_sail. "Core" can mean a variety of things--SMG has their own "Core" and I'm pretty sure that another school (which I thought was COM, though I think I was mistaken) has a "Core".

According to the website you posted, however, she is elligible for CAS Core Curriculum:

Who is eligible to enroll in the Core?
All incoming freshmen in the College of Arts and Sciences are eligible to enroll in the Core Curriculum. However, enrollment in the Core is limited. Students in the College of Communication, School of Management, and certain other Colleges at Boston University are also eligible to apply. Contact the advising office at your College for more information on your eligibility.
