I want to apply ED to Cornell, but I've recently learned that a lot of kids from my class will also be applying ED. Our school does not rank, but my GPA would most likely be lower than the other applicants (I'm a low GPA high SAT person). How will this affect my chances?

I would just try.

Here are some wise words:

"Just do it"

Caution: advice does not apply to all situations.

Much depends on whether the other kids at your school who are applying ED are applying to the same school within Cornell that you are.

The admissions procedures for the different schools seem to be pretty much separate. So if you're applying ED to Hum Ec, it may not matter that 10 people in your class are applying ED to Engineering.

^Agree. Anecdotally, 3 students applied ED to Cornell from my school last year. One for Engineering, one for Arts and Sciences, and the other for the Hotel School. All got in.

well it's harder to get in RD so u'll have a better chance ED

it won't matter much. 8 people from my high school (in jersey) got into cornell last year. GPAs, SATs, and other stuff varied greatly amongst them so i wouldn't worry about it.
