<p>You will need to be the best student (academically) in your high school if not in your region; have won national-level prizes or awards; and even if you’re in the top 3 for academics and awards in your entire country, your odds really are 1 in 30 or so, that is, 29 probabilities of rejection.
Why Yale? What do you know about it and what criteria matter to you?
Where else would you apply (non-crapshoot universities, only reaches, matches, and safeties - for an international, a top 25 university/LAC is a reach regardless of stats).</p>
