Hey, all!

I'm a writer (sort-of) and I would like to write, specifically fiction / creative writing. I have a few colleges I'm interested in. I was wonderng if anyone could tell me their opinions on these colleges, especially as far as writing goes? And if you have attended any of these schools please tell me what you liked / didn't like about them.

Amherst C
Cornell U
Hamilton C (NY)
Ithaca C
Pace U
Skidmore C
SUNY Binghamton
SUNY Geneseo
Syracuse U
Yale U

Thanks

If you are interested in writing, particualrly creative writing, you should put Kenyon College on your list. They have one of the best reputations in the country for writing. They are worth a look.

yes I have heard great things about Kenyon but in my college choices I am also factoring in location an a few other fators so unfortunatly Kenyon does not fit the list!

becuase that one’s in ohio right? yeah, to far for me when I can get a good education around here too :D

is it rude to bump your own thread around here?

If you want to stay within the New York area, I have heard good things about Skidmore. You may also want to add Bard to your list.

It looks like you want to stay in the northeast, but I hear Iowa has a good writing program.

Yes, I like Skidmores location, in fact Saratoga Springs is my favorite place in the world.

I know Iowa has a good writing program, but truthfully, I want to stay in the North East, and there are many good schools around here. I want good, but I don’t need the best.

Thanks all :-D
