I'm so tired of high school and I'm looking to forward to college so much... but I'm only a sophomore!!! FML!!!! I have next year, and then senior year I'm applying early to so many colleges so I can get my senioritis on!!! honestly though, how much better is college than high school?

It’s all ponies and unicorns and no studying or finals or anything ever.

Nah jk, it is better though. More freedom, especially with picking classes. Don’t wish away high school though, it’s rarely all bad.

your user name is premed yet you are only a high school sophomore?

Looks like a future comm major to me

It is better up until you realize that you have to take care of yourself xD

Sophomore year is a little too early to have senioritis.

lolpremed

srsly

@Drew Collins

Taking care of yourself in college is different than life after college.

uh… you’ll get over it

Like how some people were ****ING STOKED to final get their drivers license and then would drive friends all over the place just so they could be driving… well, they got over it. And driving is not exciting at all

kinda like that but with college

@UKclassof13

That was both hilarious and mildly offensive at the same time. :)

Try seeing if there’s an option for dual enrollment at community college. My district offers a program where you can take all your classes at college. It’s SO much better: you get to take what you want, when you want, and the people there are a lot more motivated than at high school.

Don’t get too excited… I had crazy senioritis last year and all I thought about is how much better and happier college would be, but I have HATED it so far.

The initial thrill of “OMG I’M IN COLLEGE” lasts about a month and then you realize that it IS still school and that it still sucks and that it feels just like high school with the same old day-by-day routine and homework. The only difference being that there’re more people, more parties, and you’re outside more. Don’t get me wrong, I love college but it’s not all what TV and movies hype it up to be.

OMG … TV and Movies were wrong!

First year sucks, dont’ expect anything from it.

Second year and forth is great though

College is much nicer than high school, I must say. I wouldn’t go bananas about it or anything, I just like the schedules better and getting to study what I want (minus generals).

are you kidding me I LOVED getting my driver’s license, driving is the 2nd best thing that happened to me aside from college. I still love driving and I’ve had my license for 4 years

College is infinitely better than high school imo. But obviously this doesn’t mean that you won’t encounter many of the same challenges…in fact, things often get more complicated and difficult in college. And it is not always about partying or meeting boys/girls (although there is plenty of that).

I was just as excited as you my sophomore year of high school to go to college (I just hadn’t found CC yet) and it hasn’t disappointed me whatsover. But don’t hold too high expectations of it, otherwise you are sure to be disappointed.

I don’t miss high school, but I am not IN LOVE with the college experience.

The academics are definitely harder than expected, enriching, and lovable, but I hate the whole learning to manage time. I am sure once that’s out of the way my life will be great!

Good luck! Graduate early if you can! :)

^^but you go to MSU… so…
