Or maybe the question is: I should be {insert position in the club } because....

So I have my first real chance at getting leadership in a service club at my school. The current President of the club, wants an essay in the above ^ format, before elections happen.

But how do you go upon answering such a question?
BTW: I'm trying for treasurer or historian.

well only you can answer it…i mean why do you?
it’s stupid if you’re just doing it for college

but some reasons would be …i’m dedicated and i really will put my all into this club. i’ve been in this club for many years and i have seen the change and growth and i would like to continue it…

it really depends on you..

Hmmm…maybe try telling them why you want the position.
I know, I know, it’s a crazy idea. But you never know–it just might work.

Just talk about how involved you’ve been in the club in the past and personal qualities that make you fit for the position. Add a joke or two. Of course, how well the other people in the club know you is a very big factor, too.
