Harvey Mudd is the one for me.
Clarification received from my visit to the campus today.

Harvey Mudd is the one for me.
Clarification received from my visit to the campus today.

Why is Mudd for you?

Because when I have time to have a life at Mudd (which is not terribly often), I have my own labs to work in and awesome support from the faculty.

I remember when I visited and this dude was trying to explain (to a chick) a love triangle that was going on, and he was using molecular bonding analogies to do it.

I like couches. I like watching TV from them, playing video games from them and even sleeping on them (sometimes more than a bed). And Mudd has couches.

Dr. Art Benjamin, professor of mathematics, can square 6 digit numbers in his head and similar math feets. I just want to take a class with him SOOOOO much, especially after reading his book.

I had a lot of fun at the Admitted Students Program, despite chuggin http://www.clamato.com/energia_ing.htm notice the clam on the right side.......

And these videos sealed it for me (watch in order given):

(BTW werent those for your orientation rocket?)

Honorable mentions:
Long Tall Glass.
Scripps.

PS Although not a part of my preference in anyway, I found it amusing that the computer network at Mudd has the largest database of porn on it that i have ever seen and/or heard of.

o man, those were enjoyable

Haha yep. I was there as a frosh when those videos were revealed.

"(BTW werent those for your orientation rocket?)"

Yup. I love those things. Made orientation almost enjoyable :).

Hey, where is everyone?

Mudd is for me because I'm introverted and the type of person who feels uncomfortable when interacting with people outside of engineering.

Now now, we don't quite think like that. The philosophy is that engineers, scientists, and mathematicians should have an element of well-roundedness, and not be too narrow. Of course it's good to be focused, but you should be able to put your work into broader perspective.

That said, we get a lot of people with the introvert, narrow mindset who develop and grow more diverse throughout their college career.

I have to say that I loved those videos--the biology one in particular. Evil-loution...

I've been looking at Mudd for awhile now. It seems like a great school.

Wow, nice videos. Im a junior, prospective Mudder, probably ED, and HMC's for me because I'd love to have peers that I could talk to about all the stuff I go out and do on my own. Maybe that sounds stuck up, but realistically, there's one senior who's as crazy as I am about math and such, and once he's gone, its gonna be a long year of solitude. I do all the other honors stuff, and can talk w/ my friends about history, politics w/e, but when no one really understands your real passion, yeah. Yay for college!
