I've applied to about seven schools through the commonapp.

I wanted to create a new version of my commonapp because I wanted to add more to my resume (which I attached at the end). However, since I already submitted my application to my other schools, I can't change my application.

I tried creating a new VERSION, but then I looked, and I already submitted the school's supplement that I am applying to. Therefore, I can't remove the college to create a new version of my commonapp.

Does anyone understand? What should I do?

If I remember correctly, there is no way to get around that–if you submitted a supplement to a college tied to your Common App, you have to submit that version of the Common App. I would say just submit it, then send the college your updated resume directly with a note of explanation.

I understand. Here’s the easy solution to your problem - don’t remove the college from your list, simply use the move button on My Colleges page to move the college to your new version. If you’ve already created an alternate version of your Common App the move button will automatically appear. Your submitted supplement will remain submitted to the college - it will “follow” the college to your new version.

THANK YOU MACGYVER! I’ve never seen that button before! Thank you so much.
