I want to do ASB help!

So I really like ASB and i really want to do it in high school but I talked to the guy in charge of ASB and he said that they really only admit juniors and seniors into the class and i know that colleges like to see dedication and commitment to something so would it look bad to join in junior and senior year? The only way that i can think of that it wont look bad is that since I am currently in student council, they can see my long time dedication to student leadership. Or will that not make a difference? Cuz i cant really explain to them that my school only lets juniors and seniors into ASB and I dont want it to look like im just doing it to get into their school because im not. PlZ help! I really want to do ASB....plus if any of you guys are in ASB how much time does it take after school? I was just wondering. :)

can someone plz reply???

People will reply when they feel they have good input, browbeating will not help.

Don’t bump a thread after a half an hour, every 24 hours is standard.

It might help if you stated what ASB stands for.

Some subjects get a lot of response, others do not, that’s just the way it is.

asb is for Assistant student body…Kind of like student government

so: I joined Science Olympiad my junior year of high school, essentially threw myself into it, and was president my senior year. There are kids who do Science Olympiad starting in middle school. I was admitted to my top choice school. dedication =/= time; dedication == dedication-- it’s up to you to show it.

ASB at my school was an enormous, all-consuming time commitment, but your mileage may vary.
