I want to find out if I got into UNC! I got a likely letter from them, but I still don't feel that reassured. I know that everyone on CC says that I am in because I got the likely letter but I don't feel that confident. Weren't we supposed to find out this week? I got a likely letter from UVa, but it seems like everyone on this board did. Well everyone with awesome stats but I don't have that great of stats (1300 SAT, 650, 660, 630 SATIIs) and I got these letters. I guess they liked something else on my app. I feel almost certain that I didn't get into Rice though.

WHEN WILL WE FIND OUT!!

le 31st... good luck!

Are they posting it online or will we get it in the mail?

If you have an online count, a "My UNC Homepage", they will have an exact copy of the letter you will get in the mail... with the UNC logo, etc...

what was your likely letter??

I have an online account, so I should check on the 31st?

This is what my likely letter from UNC says:
I know that we have already thanked you, by email for applying to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill but I want to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the distinguished application you have submitted.

Over the last several weeks, as members of the Admissions Committee have learned more about you through your essays and other supporting materials, we have become more and more impressed by your strong record of personal and academic achievement. While the Committee will not make its final recommendations until late January, we believe that you will be an outstanding candidate for admission and we hope that you will continue to consider Carolina as you make your college plans.

We also hope to see you at one or more of the special events we will be hosting in March and April for students of exceptional promise. Details about these events will follow towards the end of Feb. In the meantime, if we may help in any way, please do not hesitate to let us know. Carolina is rightfully regarded as an extraordinary welcoming place-a scholarly community whose students and professors genuinely like and respect each other-and we will gladly do our part to give you the warm welcome you richly deserve.

Sincerely
Assistant Provost and Director of Admissions

(Or something like that, I just copy and pasted from a post on a different thread)

You might want to check a couple days before 3-31 (EA decisions came a little early). Don't worry about having to check online. I got my acceptance in the mail before the decisions were posted online.
