I want to get into UC Santa Cruz 2017..... what is the least impacted major to get accepted into?

I am a junior… CA Resident… ranked 31st in a class of 321…My GPA is 3.9 (UW) and 3.93 (W). I took the new SAT in March and still waiting for results. I am taking the ACT in April. I honestly am not 100% certain what major I want to pursue… I thinking some type of biology or even Pre-Med…
I guess I am worried as I never took AP classes as I have had a part time job and work 20hrs a week . I KNEW with working taking on AP classes would be more than I could handle… not to mention my parents didn’t want me to burn out so young.
I REALLY want to attend Santa Cruz in the Fall of 2017…
I am open to most majors… any tips you can pass on?

Santa Cruz does not consider major when determining admission.

http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/counselors/files/freshman-admission-matrix.pdf indicates that intended major does not affect frosh admission decision at UCSC, although some majors may require a GPA higher than 2.0 to declare later.

also I would say the major you choose is much more important than the college you go to.

Sciences are strong at UCSC and it’s a wonderful campus! Good luck
