I want to go to a warm climateSouth Florida area, South California area suggestions?

I have a 3.0gpa 1140SAT 580 verbal 560 math, I have rowed for my high school crew team for 4 years, a competitive club crew team last summer. I was a member of Key Club first 2 years, a member of ski club all 4 years, have volunteered with my church for 2 years. I want to go somewhere warm by the ocean like Southern Florida area or Southern California area. Any suggestions for schools?

University of Miami?

Cali: University of San Diego, Loyola Marymount, Pitzer, Occidental(reach), Whittier College(Safe)

University of Miami do you think I have a legitimate shot at getting in? I heard it was tough to get into and that it was hard academicaly

Also in So. Cal - University of Redlands.

In Florida: Rollins, Eckerd College (it's right on the gulf of mexico). U of Miami will be a reach for you, but a realistic reach.

also FIU and FAU

UCF, USF, UWF, Flagler College

In SoCal: Chapman University, Cal State-San Marcos.

i know you said you want schools in s. florida or so cal but what about coastal carolina university? it's on the beach in the southern part of south carolina. i think the school would be considered a "match" for you.

Adding to patientlywaiting's thought: How about the College of Charleston? And, there are some schools in Texas that might be worth checking out as well.

Look into University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando and perhaps University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa...UM and UF might be a reach given your SAT score...i have no idea about cali...

As someone said, consider FAU.

FAU is a really great school, up-and-coming on a lot of fronts!

University of San Diego.

Not in FL. or CA but another great school at the beach is UNC-Wilmington
