I want to go to Purdue..

I'm everything but a typical Indian. My gpa is very low, my ec's are extremely poor, but I have great test scores and a rapidly rising GPA. My main question is about the advice I've been recieving on these forums. Several people said I have a great shot at all of these schools, but when I talk to people I know in person, they say that these schools are very tough to get into. Are they right? I'm feeling doubtful that I have a good chance at schools like the ones I listed, mainly Purdue and U of Illinois. I believe my school is fairly competitive; it offers around 12 AP's. Without further delay, here are my gpa's, classes, and ec's. I've estimated my senior year grades as well as recs/essays, which I'm confident I will accomplish. Please help me out.

Freshman Year- 2.46 GPA | No EC's | No advanced classes
*Sophomore Year- 3.54 GPA | No EC's | No advanced classes
*Junior Year- 3.75 GPA | JV Tennis | Honors Alg II
*Senior Year- 4.66 GPA | V Tennis | Precalc, AP Lit, AP Chem, AP Bio
*Cumulative- 3.4 by the end of this year, 3.55 by the end of senior year.
*Class Rank- Top 30-35% by the end of this year, 20-25% by end of senior year.
*Sat I- 2250
*ACT- 26
*Sat II: Math IIC: 720
*Sat II: Chemistry: 720
*Sat II: Literature: 670
*Will have good recs
*Will have good essays

I plan on majoring in Pharmacy. The absolute #1 no doubt school that I believe is in my range, is Purdue. They have the fourth best pharmacy program in the US, and thats where I'd like to go. The only other possible schools are the other ones I listed, but I mainly want Purdue.
*Purdue University
*University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
*Washington University
*University of Missouri at Rolla
*Ohio State University
*Pennsylvania State University
If there are other colleges with my major, can you guys please list them? Thanks in advance

What state are you in? If you live in Indiana, it's a LOT easier and cheaper to get into Purdue. I would say you have a pretty solid chance of getting into Purdue. If you went to my high school, you'd probably get a full ride to Purdue!

Well, thats (no offense) but an odd response compared to what I usually get. I live in Missouri. Purdue is literally my dream school since I can afford the tuition, and I can definitely excel in my major as they have it as #4 in the nation. Is it really easy to get it? I've read that the average gpa is 3.4, average SAT is 1125, average ACT is 25, and they don't consider EC's/Interviews/Talents/Essays... I don't know?

None taken. Purdue doesn't require essays, I'm fairly certain. I think you've got a very solid chance to Purdue. I live in Indiana myself. Talents? Like Extracurriculars or what?

By the way, Purdue's application is already up, I believe, so go check it out!

talents meaning qualities, hooks, uniqueness, etc. I don't know though, is it more of a reach, or a match, or safety? I know since I'm out of state it would be hard to get in.. but do I truly have a chance there?

Oh, I thought you meant some special thing called Talents :P I'd say match, but I'm not sure of how Purdue is with out-of-state applicants, need someone else to chime in here.

You could move to Indy right now :D
