I would recommend mastering English first.

My high school kid just took a class in it at the Community College (a noncredit class for fun, for about $250). They started the class with 10 students. Most of them were businessmen planning trips to China. Anyway, at the end of the class there were only 2 students left since the other students slowly dropped out. They had a great final class at a Chinese restaurant where the staff spent time with them. The teacher turned out to be a professor at another local college, who offered my kid an opportunity to do a 6-credit program in China through the teacher’s college. I had to say no to that China trip for several reasons, but my kid is planning to continue with these classes. As another plus, our high school also offered to add the class to her high school transcript as a non-graded language class if she sent in a transcript.

Um, just talk to your friend and you will learn.
I will teach you some Chinese here.
Good stuff you will never learn from your friend ![]()

first off, if you want to learn a language, at least learn how to spell it properly.

secondly, you’re just amazing at grammar aren’t you?? sarcasm
basically, you are “disgusting” yourself. get english right before trying to learn a foreign language.

i’m not even a native english speaker and i know that Chinese is spelled with 1 s.

ok dude your obviously here to make trouble so just get the **** of my thread. if you don’t understand me then don’t help me. it is simple as that. its sad that you go on internet forums to correct others spellings. you are not welcomed in my thread because all you reply with is negative feedback and start fights.

pharmakeus01- haha i got half of them memorized already

good stuff :P

An uncapitalized first word in a sentence and two question marks! gasp

i wasn’t making trouble. i was pointing out that it’s common courtesy to spell a language right before you try to learn it. you’re the one who’s insulting other people and correcting other people’s capitalization with your all high and mighty “people like you disgust me” crap, which was totally uncalled for since i didn’t even insult you. i just said that you should learn how to spell it. sheesh. i wouldn’t even had said anything if you didn’t repeat your mistake twice. so i don’t capitalize my first letters. neither do you. deal with it. you’re such a hypocrite, saying that i don’t capitlize my letters and then you do the same thing in your posts. whatever.

and lastly, i wasn’t the only one pointing out that you need to learn english first. rhyn0, leanlikeacello and Co

^ 别管他。反正那个鬼佬根本不懂。

^^^ need a translator here!!!

haha pharmakeus you are hilarious^ ^

I second Rosetta Stone. Their programs are great, and you can get them relatively cheap on ebay. It can be fristrating at times, but probably worth it. I’ll let you know when I’ve gotten the hang of it. :p

i think it’d be better if you got a teacher or someone that can pronounce clearly instead of learning it on your own

your pronunciation is really important so you don’t want to mess that up
