<p>Okay so these are my classes 10th thru 12th (if all goes well). I don't really know what goes on a college application but if they ask my major and I say science will my chances of getting in be shot since most of my classes are history and literature.

<p>No, it doesn't matter what you put if they ask for your intended major. People change their minds about majors all the time. You're not expected to know yet.</p>

<p>actually, it can make quite a differance what you put as your major. As a female, if you were to put down physics or chem, it could be a small boost up. But you're gonna have to figure out what kind of science you want to major in first...</p>

<p>phishfan0969, I think that a female applicant listing physics or chem helps only if she shows lots of genuine interest in that field. The only way that it would help is that it might help to diversify physics classes, which supposedly are dominated by men. </p>
<p>Camille_Raven: That's perfectly fine, especially since it wouldn't be a big surprise, given that you seem interested in biology and environmental science, it reinforces your interest in it. That's great that you're interested in this stuff--it's pretty big with people finding out about global warming and trying to find renewable resources and the craze over organic and natural foods nowadays.</p>
