I Want to Read Some Good Essays

Anyone care to share some good essays?

What do you think are best of best essays? You can link or copy and paste the whole thing.

NO NO NO

DO NOT POST YOUR ESSAYS HERE

DO NOT SEND YOUR ESSAYS TO SOMEONE YOU DO NOT KNOW

SHEESH

Wow - someone who joins CC yesterday, wants ideas on what to write in his / her essays - is asking others for their essays? Nice way to write one’s essay!

@AboutTheSame @MedSciBud

Gee, calm down.

There are plenty of college essays on the internet, and there are plenty of books that are collections of “college essays that worked.” There is nothing wrong with reading or sharing those.

I’m not asking for CC member’s essays, necessarily. Just an essay that they have read and were impressed by.

There’s nothing wrong with reading other essays. Stop making assumptions about me @MedSciBud . That’s not nice.

If you post or send your essay to someone else, you run the risk of it being plagerized, and of you getting accused of plagerized if ends up online someplace.

if you want “essays that worked” to help inspire you for your own, Johns Hopkins’ website has a collection of 5/6 from the past few admissions cycles. Reading those really helped me drum up ideas for my own essay.

@Applecake generally it’s unwise for people to share their essays with new members, just because there’s no way of knowing who you are. I think the posters above were just trying to protect people.
If you’re looking for good essays, do a quick search online. I’m sure there are many websites that will help.
Good luck!

Ha, @Applecake, your original post could easily be interpreted as “I have a bag of candy, would anyone care to hop into my windowless van?” Not suggesting you actually possess candy or a van. Moving forward, there are a number of books of essay collections. I don’t have the experience to suggest which are best. Peace.

Since everyone else here wants to be rude and make far-fetched assumptions,

I’ll start it off: https://apply.jhu.edu/apply/essays-that-worked/2020/#essay3

My favorite is the one by Isaac.

Y,know, I’ve probably read hundreds of example admissions essays starting from freshman year in high school (because I was already stressed about college essays back then).

Reading those essays didn’t help much.

Or maybe I’m doing it wrong.

“Since everyone else here wants to be rude and make far-fetched assumptions”

LOL. @Princess563, you clearly didn’t read the OP unedited version. Nobody was being needlessly rude. Peace.
