If I'd like to send a video of me drumming to colleges, how would I go about doing that? Would it be part of the arts supplement? Is it okay to send it in even if I'm not majoring in music?

Also, is it alright if I play along to a track?

Yes, sending this as a DVD with an ARTS supplement would work.

Check with specific college deadlines as some colleges like Stanford
have earlier deadlines for Art supplement evaluation.

It is particualrly valuable if you are not majoring in music and you have
world class talent. Colleges like Stanford and Princeton welcome
world class talent in the arts and it could influence your admission
process favorably.

Check about format on the college website, some colleges like Princeton
prefer CD-ROM format over DVD while others like Stanford prefer the
oppsite for video. Also make sure you do nto exceed the time requests
(5 mins for P, < 10 mins for S etc.). If youa re drumming along to
a track make sure you acknowledge the track appropriately on your
video sub titles.
