I Want To Transfer, ALREADY.

I like my school, I like the campus, I like the classes (most of them at least).

I don't like some of the people and I am already seeing familiar faces.

I think I made the wrong choice in choosing a small private liberal arts school, so I want to know what alternatives I have.

I know school has only been in session for a month but I just can't stand it here anymore.

I AM INVOLVED, very much if I may say so.

There isn't a particular reason, I think my gut feeling just says this isn't the place.

I know my ramble is all over the place but if you understand what I am trying to say then please do give some advice!

eh a month isn’t enough to judge. I never really loved my school until the last quarter of the year. You won’t like everyone…just ignore them then and talk to other people. As for being involved, its hard to really be involved after just one month (and even to make friends in clubs through that short a time). Give it some time. Join other clubs if the ones you are in don’t seem to work out. And when joining clubs, make sure you are interested- it makes socializing much easier haha

Can you handle with the stresses associated with transferring? Most people can’t.

Give it some time; eventually it will grow on you, so long as you do not outright hate the school.

Give it some time, and don’t make any hasty decisions. If you still feel the same way during the spring semester, then I’d recommend transferring if you can afford it financially. Don’t transfer at semester though. Every person I know that’s done that has regretted it.

Thanks everyone. I know I should give it time but it is hard to give things time when you truly despise the place you are in. I did start to look at the Common App, and I feel as though I have ABSOLUTELY NO TIME to go through the admissions process again.
