I want to visit USC, but I have a few questions.

I want to visit USC. I also want to join the "Explore USC" program. However, I have a few questions.

1-)If I join the "Explore USC" program, does USC offer any dorm for me while I am visiting USC? (I live in New York.)

2-)I make a reservation for this program on USConnect, right?

3-)In your opinion, do you thinnk it's worth to go? Because it is on school days. If I don't go to the program, I can go to USC to have a campus tour by myself during the Spring Break.

If it’s feasible, you should definitely go to Explore USC. It’s a really great experience to meet actual students while school is in session. You really get a feel for the atmosphere and the general “feel” of being a student there. Explore USC is also a more comprehensive program than any of the other tours, and it is altogether a really good time. If I remember correctly, there’s something in your admissions packet that gives you the site where you can reserve a spot. It should be somewhere on USConnect.

Only the scholarship Explore events (the first five) include overnight stays in dorms. However, I can tell you that, for Viterbi, hosts are also asked to indicate whether they would be able to host overnight on any of the other Explore events, too. The College, from what I could see, is a rather disorganized group, but the advisors from any of the schools may be able to help you if you call them and ask.

If it’s at all possible, though, even if you have to stay in a hotel or something, it’s well worth the experience of going to Explore.

wait so can I stay overnight at USC? I really don’t want to stay in a hotel… (I’m not attending the scholarship Explore events)
thank you very much!

^ nope. the radisson’s across the street from usc, but usc housing is for explore usc attendees only. sorry. :(

^so if I attend the explore usc (not the scholarship one that nberg was talking about) I can still stay overnight at usc?

nope, i think this explore usc is only one day, i think the two day one was only for interviews.
