I'm applying to Princeton (I have a brother there), U Penn, Cornell, Emory, and Swarthmore in addition to Yale EA, so any comments on my chances at these schools and any ideas for safeties & matches would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks so much!

I want Yale, too! Btw don't say Go Tigers! on campus. You may be subject to having foreign objects thrown at you.

You have great leadership. It looks like that's your highlight contribution. You know what to do to make yourself a solid applicant, though: work on the scores. With them, you'd have a great shot everwhere you mentioned. Plus, Swarthmore and other LAC's (have you considered Amherst and Williams? Why Swarthmore?) will look past the scores and see an ambitious leader who has drive and spirit.

I thought it was Go War Eagles? =)..

Anyways, you have a solid shot at Yale, but remember, it is a lottery for all. Try to get that SAT up to about 2200. What is your exact rank? If it's on the upper end of the top 10%.. then.. that's preferable for you.

Hmm, if you're a TASP attendee, shouldn't you be at the program right now?

haha...I am at TASP right now. I'm at the University of Michigan session studying "Music of the Everyday."
I couldn't get to sleep (no air conditioning in our house! ACK!!) late last night/early this morning so I decided to get on CC!

Thank you all so much for your comments!!

Oh, and tlaktan, "War Eagle" is part of the Auburn fight song, but we are tigers. Yea...it doesn't make a lot of sense.

Yeah i figured you were there, I was just wondering why you wouldn't be like:
TASP attendee (thats where I am right now :) )

it's a moderate/large reach. princeton might give you a better shot because of your brother, but I dunno. I have a sibling there as well. Apparently they like to take siblings.
