I bombed my math transferable course Spring 2009.

I cannot stress the importance of following the provisional contract that the UC campus gives you. I received a provisional contract because I was missing my math transferable course, I don't believe everyone gets one.
k here is my story:
So I applied to CAL, UCLA, UCSD, UCSB and UCR, the first acceptance package came from UCR in March, then UCSB in early May followed by an email from UCLA and UCSD in late May, and one reject email from CAL. Berkeley let us know the last possible minute...and i was on this website lurking and counting down with all the kids.

Anyways, each of the schools that admitted me attached a provisional contract to my acceptance letter. The contract stated that my admission was conditional, I had to maintain a 2.0 gpa (easy!) and pass my math transferable course (not so easy.)
I SIRed to UCLA on June 1st, got all the insider stuff, the orientation registration and the official welcome packet that came with a UCLA bumper sticker.
By this time I was failing math but my prof said that if i passed the final with a C i could pass the class. I took a shot and stuck it through the final...I failed miserably, I notified UCLA and they took away everything :'(

Fast Forward to today, I received my Math transferable grade, ( A in Statistics....for me Stats was easy I should have done this in the first place.)
And I am now awaiting admission decisions to CAL, UCLA, UCSD and UCSB.
I am really nervous this time around though, I am nervous about the budget cuts and not being as lucky with UCLA this time around. Berkeley is a long shot and I have a TAG with UCSD and UCSB so Im good there.

Moral of the story is, if they give you a provisional contract you must follow it. You can try to appeal it but it is a pretty straightforward contract. And if they take your admission away you must apply again, unfortunately you can't put your admission on layaway.

I would like to hear from people with similar stories.
Good luck to all,
peace.
