Hi @stellallets - I think the short answer is no and maybe. No, you can’t automatically transfer into Tisch just because you are into NYU and maybe the college will let you if you apply for a transfer next year and get accepted. Tisch generally requires portfolio reviews and/or artistic evaluations - what major are you interested in?
@CaMom13 thank you! I know I’m not guaranteed lol that would be awesome if it was. I’m actually interested in dramatic writing, I’ve always wanted to pursue screenwriting

My inclination would be to see if you can’t use your freshman year to take some of the equivalent courses (or take courses at Tisch if possible) so transferring won’t put you behind in the 4 year program. My kid isn’t in screenwriting but the Tisch folks were pretty firm about the fact that “you can do anything” as long as you get the right courses in to graduate in 4 years. I think they’re flexible about majors but firm about degree progression. Hope that helps!
