I was deferred...who else???

<p>well, unfortunately, my application was deferred by MHC. I think it was so awful. I mean both offer and reject are clear decisions. But defer??? I don't know what it means. Was I kind of rejected ??? If not, how much possibility that I will be accepted in April? HELP ME OUT! PLEASE!</p>

<p>No a deferral is infinitely better than an outright rejection. Your application will be reviewed again with the regular decision group and there is a good chance you will be accepted at that time. Good luck to you.</p>

<p>Often a deferral is simply because admissions wants to see another full semester of grades.
You’ll be fine.</p>

<p>thank u CrewDad. However, I haven’t received any reasons from MHC about my deferral. I hope they want to see my another semester grades. Or, maybe scholarship app holds me back??? OMG, I am so confused!</p>

<p>I’m sorry that you guys got deferred. I got a deferral in December and it is a big downer! Would you guys mind posting your stats just so we have a reference?</p>

now that makes 3 of us then^^
i would of course share my stats but i didn’t do the SAT cause mhc is SAT optional, and my GPA is a little different from the american one. i have 2,3 out of 6, 1.0 being the best. but here, everything above 2,5 is good, if you have 1,something, you’re brilliant and the average in my high school year was at about 2,8 or something like that.
my TOEFL ibt score was 105!

<p>yup, i applied for financial aid and no, they didn’t tell me the reason. i’ll send in another recommendation though, i think one of those was a weak point in my application^^</p>

<p>Take heart - when I applied to MHC, I was waitlisted, then offered February admission, then offered fall admission. It can happen for you! Good luck!</p>
