As we were checking answers in numerous CC threads, I got them all right. I was expecting a 35-36 just incase of a stupid error.

What are the odds of an error or it misreading an erased pencil mark? I got a 29 overall and was hoping for a 30. If I could have gotten a 33 in English, it would have made me get a 30. Is it worth getting it checked?

Well I wasn’t really familiar with the ACT until 3 weeks ago when I took the test, so naturally I read a lot of ACT prep books because I don’t like to be caught unaware. What I learned was that the English portion is actually the hardest because it is scaled. See, all the sections of the ACT are scaled and for some reason people tend to do really well on average on the ACT English portion. So this means you could get 10 wrong out of 75 and get a 31 even though percentage wise you should of gotten higher. You probably did really well on the English portion… just some people did even better.

I was really expecting 740-760 on the critical reading of the SAT I just got back, and I got a 670. Sometimes things like this just happen. Just study over the summer and take the test again if you want to. That’s what I’m doing.

I’m in the exact same boat as you. I wasn’t trying to kid myself that I got a 36 but I did think I got a 33 or 34. Turns out I got a 29, and same for me I got all the questions discussed on here the day of the test right. I must have done something wrong though. I ordered my booklet and the answers though so I’ll do a little damage assessment.
