I just woke up from a nap and apparently i opened my eyes and became conscious about my awake, but suddenly i was freezed, I couldn't move any part of my body at all! i was freaked out but couldn't move my lip. My mind kinda of freezed too, because i didn't have any thoughts during that shocking 30 seconds until i could finally move my body. Before i was revived i felt like some sort of energy or air suddenly pumped into my limps and my mind.

what happened was your body was still paralyzed from REM sleep…although you had woken up
some times there are lapses…
its not unnatural
dont worry

True that. It’s called sleep paralysis, it’s a very, very natural process that occurs to everyone during their sleep so they don’t “act out their dreams.” You can actually feel sleep paralysis if you “fall asleep consciously.” There is a method of lucid dreaming known as WILD (wake initiated lucid dream). You should do some research on it, but basically you enter your dream without ever going “unconscious” and as such you see your dream forming in front of you (starting with hypnagognic imagery) and you feel sleep paralysis occur. I’ve never been able to do it, but it’s very well documented and many can do it.

In short: Don’t worry, it happens to everyone every night (except for abnormalities like a sleeping disorder), except most of the time you’re unconscious during it.

OMG this sounds so cool! I want to lucid dream! I want to dream whatever I want. Wouldn’t it be so awesome to see realistic nightmares? It would be like taking drugs or something.

Actually, it’s because when you sleep, your consciousness is in another universe doing something else in a different body. You are paralyzed because your consciousness did not expect your body here to wake up without warning. By waking up here and transferring your consciousness, you just made your other body in another universe collapse without warning… it might even be dead…

You have no memory of your other life because your memories are stored in neurons in the individual bodies. Therefore, you cannot store any recollection of what happened.

So… try to relax when you go to sleep, because your other life may depend on it.

(I can’t believe I’m ranked one in my AP Psych class… )

okay i dont really get why this is a big deal…this happens about once a month for me, and its not being paralyzed, i think your still physically asleep, but not mentally. Although i think its sweet you guys have heard of it, ive asked my friends and parents and theyve never had it, which is odd haha
