I applied at UT Austin but I was not accepted for any programs
My GPA is 3.88 out of 4.0
SAT score 1870
ACT score 27

I am not able to figure out the reason why I was not accepted under any of the programs. I was also not accepted for PACE program.

So you got accepted into the university but no programs within the university want you?

I was not accepted at UT Austin but given a choice to go to UT San Antonio under CAP program.

You did not get accepted because for UT you have to be in the top 7% of your class if you’re not they don’t look at your application. Although if you’re really set on UT you can apply for a program that they have(sorry I forgot the name) where you will spend your first year of college at UTRGV, UTSA, etc & then you will be transferred to UT, its a cool program if you want to go to UT, I have several friends who did that and are now happily at UT. Do some research, ask around or google it and I’m sure you’ll find the name of the program, if not I will find out. Best of luck

UT is weird because the whole top 7% law makes them more rank-oriented than a lot of other public colleges
i’ve seen a lot of my (very qualified) friends get rejected from UT because of their rank
so dont take it personally; try applying to other schools that are still taking apps, or, as TiffPz suggested, try getting into the CAP program if you still can
