As mentioned above, I was offered a research position NYU. The thing is , that i'm only a high school. Do you guys think that I should take it? I'm really interested in the research but I feel like my lack of education would be a burden to them. Thanks for reading this and feel free to talk about your experience! Thanks.</p>
<p>I’m sure that they took your high school status into account when they offered you the position. Unless you had done something to make them believe that you know more than you do, they probably won’t be expecting much besides interest and willingness to learn.</p>

<p>I read a few professional articles written by one the researchers… asked them questions … and then after a few e-mails back and forth she offered the position to me.</p>
<p>If they offered you the position, they clearly don’t think you’d be a burden … plus most such positions are educational in nature, they aren’t going to expect a high school student to make some groundbreaking discovery. Congrats!</p>
