I was rejected

I feel like I'm going to die. I guess I am going to public school next year. I really thought I had a chance, not even wait-listed, I am reject

No replies?tsk on the ccers. Don’t kill yourself over this… it wasnt fit for you. I always say that the schools know who would survive in their school and who won’t so think about it as if they did you a favor;)Go to public school next year work hard, little depends on the school in comparision of how much depends on the pupil. If you still don’t think public school is right for you appply again:)
never give up hope and Best of Luck:)

What schools did you apply for? Don’t worry, I was rejected too…

Mandy and Sushi,
It is their loss. Most schools had far too many perfectly wonderful candidates this year. The difference between you and someone who was accepted might have been as little as a geographical location, or the choice of instrument/sport that you play. Try not to take it as a personal affront. There are plenty of great schools who would have accepted someone just like you. For next year, do more research, expand your net, and make sure your list includes at least one “safety” where you would be happy and challenged.

ahhhh, I have 1 that got accepted and 2 waited listed…lots of tears here

Trust me It may sound cliche but don’t give up I was in your situation last year but this year I got accepted to a fine boarding. As a result promise to yourself no matter what you are going through that you will try again if this is really what you want.

Excellent post Zuzu’spetals (love your name~my fav movie)
Last year, my son was waitlisted at what he thought was his first choice and rejected from another school, but he did apply to four schools and the school he is attending this year was the place for him. Do not lose hope, you are not a “reject” it simply was not the right fit.

i agree with gaellexoxo,
last year i got rejected from groton…
and this year i got accepted at loomis chaffee…
keep trying

hey, i haven’t been on cc for for what feels like forever. I was so upset the first day that I got my rejection letter but now I can calmly say I’m just disappointed. I can still apply next year, and my public school really isn’t that bad. By the way: I am NOT going to kill myself. Hope I didn’t alarm anyone in my last post.

Btw thanks everybody who responded to this post, that was really nice and supportive. I really appreciate all the help.

Mandy,
Best of luck next year, I am sure you will find the perfect school! :)

Don’t worry, life doesn’t end in high school.

Oh, I’m so sorry. There’s always next year. Don’t loose your mind over it. Even if you go to a public school you can still go to an educational summer camp and take courses that aren’t offered at you school and even be given credit! It will look good on college applications if you do. I plan to.

I feel so embarrassed that I posted this to begin with. Thank you everyone who helped me through this, but I was seriously devastated for just about a couple of hours. There is always next year, and I am happy that I can stay with all of my friends. I wish I was accepted but I was just one of the 84% that did not. Oh well. Please everyone just forget about this post, it was just my way of expressing my disappointment. I wish I had made the it, but never posted it. Thank you everyone.

mandyg123: You are a lovely girl and you’ll make a fine addition to whatever school community you’re part of. Adversity reveals character and your’s is admirable. Your positive attitude is amazing for your age. Wishing you well!

i got rejected in 3 schools
accepted into 1
waitlisted in 1
and still waiting on 4

lemmings- what school did you get accepted to ?
