I was stupid! My GPA

I was stupid freshman and sophmore year. REALLY REALLY STUPID. And I think I totally screwed myself over, can someone helllppp me?

Freshman Year GPA: 3.0
Sophmore Year GPA: 3.5
Junior Year GPA (currently) : 4.0
SAT Score: 2370

EC: Piano, Art, Violin, total of 270 hours of volunteering, FBLA, JSA

I've been consistent in Piano, Art, and Violin for 9 years and I take a lot of AP and Honors courses through out freshman, sophmore and Junior year. Am I screwed cause I messed up my GPA during the first 2 years of highschool?! What colleges would accept me now?

it depends. there are like 4000 schools. narrow down a bit

it's really sad to see that more threads have negative titles.

Fine, my new title shall be "o-m-g, everyone party cause i have a low GPA".

how wud colleges like duke brown and hyp view that type of improvement?
well given high ecs and sats etc...idk ask someone really good..

A 3.5 GPA isn't so bad (assuming you took all honors and AP courses), and with your SATs, it won't cut too many schools out of your reach.

I need the help of an asian person...

Ok. I'll give you a much more pessimistic answer: 3.5 IS HORRIBLE! IT COULD CUT YOU OUT OF IVY LEAGUE COLLEGES...YOU MIGHT NOT EVEN GET INTO STANFORD! YOU ARE A FAILURE OF A CHILD!

Is that better?

I'm not Asian, but I believe Stanford and Princeton do not consider freshman year grades. Then your GPA would be 3.75, which isn't fabulous but you'll have a good shot at them. University of Michigan also doesn't include freshman year. I believe that would be a safety for you, depending on what your Michigan GPA is.

Just what I was looking for

Jeez. Give me a break. You know, colleges don't like pessimistic people.

well. at least it shows that you're improving every year;)

Sigh, i dunno, it's sorta really hard to be optimistic when everyone around you seems to have perfect A's

Well, Stanford/Princeton not calculating freshmeny year will significantly help you.

youd have slightly below gpa but above average sat

so i guess its up to your ec and essays

i should hope so. I REALLY need to get into a pretty good college. Or my Asian parents will skin me. :]

Whats up with the whole "asian" deal?

obviously your not asian, so therefore you won't understand.

All Asian parents are the same when it comes to school.

Especially Korean ones XD.

alright im in freshman year of high school and my job occupied me so much first semester i didnt get all my homework done and therefore finished with Two A's, And 4 C's
(it would have been B's but the finals came and knocked all my B's down)

I really wanna study architecture at cal poly slo.
and i was just woundering what GPA am i gonna need, SAT score, etc.

im thinking im gonna go to a community college and then transfer but as of now since i got scared ****less about my grades last semester (my parents went crazy) i now have all A's

but apparently colleges dont look at freshman year
PLEASE SAY THATS TRUE!!!!

it's true
make sure u have 800s on ur sat ii's and 2300+ on ur sats and 5s on ur APs...that's easy rite?
