In my sophomore year I brought stink bombs to school as a prank and I was given a three day suspension from school, this is the only mark on my disciplinary record. Will schools overlook this or will it hurt my chances??? I am worried that this will cause me to get rejected from schools that I am on the borderline of admittance for.

It absolutely will. It may also keep you out of schools that you would have gotten into otherwise.

Check with your high school. Many high schools do not report these kind of issues. They are kept in separate confidential files that do not leave the school. Talk to your guidance counselor. Do not take advice from newaccount.

Also as far as suspensions go, that’s pretty minor. Students that are suspended for drugs, theft, violence, etc have much more to worry about.

I was suspended a few times in high school and got into college, and eventually med school, without a problem. Most of the time you’re fine.

not an issue

so should i report it on my applications?

I believe the common app requires you to report it.

RiedyZac000, check with your guidance counselor regarding reporting it. Don’t take advice on a board regarding something so important.
