<p>So my guidance counselor wants me to do some PLAN or ACT practice problems in order to just get a sense of how the test will be like. It will not be on my transcript, so she told me that I shouldn't go buy a book or a program to help me. She said free websites are great. </p>

<p>But what are good websites for me to prepare for the test?</p>

<p>JW, how did you get so lucky that your school is giving the PLAN rather than the PSAT? (and you’re on the East Coast?)</p>

<p>we tried to get my daughter’s school to give the PLAN; no go…</p>

<p>So this is how we do it our school:</p>

<p>8th Grade: EXPLORE
9th Grade: PLAN
10th Grade: PSAT (Non Merit Competition)
11th Grade: PSAT (Merit Competition); SAT, ACT
12th Grade: SAT and ACT retakes as needed</p>

<p>SAT IIs are taken whenever you want at other sites.</p>

<p>And yep. I am from NYC.</p>

<p>My D’s public high school is giving PLAN for sophomore and PSAT for junior and we are in north west.</p>
