In my essay, i mentioned my weak Test Scores.
T.R.: Two teachers specifically wrote down that in their 20 some years I was their best student.

I do understand that Score is low for an ivy league, but is there any possibility.

Cornell is possible ivy-wise. Honestly, they have holistic approaches so you really do have a shot at most of them.
Are you a minority? That would help…also if you are an athlete. That is the easiest backdoor.
Maybe look at other top universities that aren’t quite ivies…
Uchicago, northwestern, duke, notre dame, UCLA, USC…I think you have a decent shot at most of those.
great work in high school! You showed great effort.
Maybe retake your act if you could? What was your lowest portion?

30 was my lowest. And thanks for your input. Hopefully I can attract some of the top schools with my reccomendations and essays. I am a first generation college student if that helps

I’d consider Cornell very possible. The rest are low reaches to reaches IMO.

I would say all are reaches except Cornell which I would classify as a High Match. However you still have a chance. Chance back?

Not too bad of chances. I think you may want to retake the ACT for schools like that though. Chance me back?

I’m going to call BS on this one since the Yale Science and Engineering Award is for juniors only.

Oh, yes it is, my mistake. Should say 11th

you have an awesome gpa… i mean its better than 4.0!!!
and great extra curriculars with lots of awards you’ll get into an ivy league!!!
dont sweat it… ESPECIALLY i think if you wrote in your essay how the low test score really isnt a reflection of the best work you can do and you showed evidence that u are willing to work really hard (which by your academic achievements is cleatly the case) YOU’re in!!!

chance me back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1469326-chances-getting-into-uc-berkeley-theater-performacen-studies-major.html</a></p>

hey you havent chanced me back?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1469326-chances-getting-into-uc-berkeley-theater-performacen-studies-major.html</a></p>

You’re ECs and awards are spectacular! Do not worry too much about your test scores. A lot of good colleges have holistic admissions, so test scores will not impact your chances too terribly. I would say you have a very good chance of getting into at least one or two top universities. Best of luck to you!

Chance me back please? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1470328-chance-brown-plme-ed.html</a></p>

Babs22hh yes I did

get over 32 and you will be academically qualified…extracurricular-ly you are already qualified I would say you should get into Cornell…

Your record is fantastic and you will have a huge advantage over other students. I would be surprised if you didn’t get into at least 3 of your top 5 if they are the top Ivy League schools and 4 out of 5 if they are not all. The test scores will not have a lot of weight here because everything else speaks for itself and contradicts your disappointment in your scores.

I am going bananas waiting for my letters and need to know my chances. I graduated high school in 1988 and have been working and raising a family since. My GPA was 3.0 - but I had a lot of As and Bs (had some temporary family issues). I was in the top 15 percent of a class of 589. My SATs were close to average, but I took them in 1987 so hoping they won’t hold much weight. I have been working since high school, but have been underemployed. The schools I am trying to get in to are George Mason University and Virginia Commonwealth University. Chances back please!

Thanx for chancing me!!! ;-)

GlamorousGirl

as a person who graduated highschool in 2001 I totally know whats its like to make a go out of it in college after a break from school/life circumstances. I think that its so important that u stress in your application that this is what sets u apart and makes u an AWESOME candidate for George Mason and VCU (i’M not too familiar with these schools… DO THEY REQUIRE AN ESSAY FOR ADMISSION??) It shows hardwork/determination/ perseverance inspite of circumstances–an amazing quality to have. I think you will get in-- YOU CAN DO IT!!!

you have a prettttyy good chance!
did you apply to any ucs? i think youd get into most of them!
good luck:)
chance me?

I sent them a research paper as well, and my interview went well

Referring to Yale ^

Cornell is possible Ivy Wise, maybe just maybe Brown. Have you thought about Dartmouth, Duke, UCB, etc? You have good shots at those as well, over all very impressive resume well done :)
