I will turn down Harvard for ______________.

I am highly considering turning down Harvard for Yale or Brown.

Would any future science majors turn down Harvard for Yale? If so why?

A girl in our neighborhood has decided to turn down Harvard and Princeton
for Boston College. She feels BC is a better fit

^ wow
that takes a lot of guts, but i respect her for not being clouded by prestige

I am now facing a tough decision and would like some input.

I was accepted to Stanford, Harvard, and Yale. My decision comes down to HARVARD and STANFORD.

I realize that I cannot go wrong with either choice, but that is what makes the decision impossible. I will major in physics, mathematics, or applied mathematics. With distance to the schools not being a factor, which would you attend and why?

I would have turned down Harvard for Northwestern HPME, but too bad Harvard didn't give me that choice.

I WILL TURN DOWN HARVARD FOR STANFORD!

Harvard is practically in my backyard...and after 17 years I am very much ready to get out of the gross weather. Plus, even if the weather was the same at both places, Stanford sounds much more amazing in terms of student life, overall attitude...everything.

hmmmm....i would definately turn down harvard for...

Penn(Wharton) for business...
MIT, Cornell, and Princeton for engineering...

too bad i didnt get into penn or mit...

a night with eva longoria.

My son is probably turning down Yale and Duke for Notre Dame.

RCMan13 Harvard Vs Stanford for Math - google Math 55 Harvard or Noam Elkies Harvard and you will see discussions comparing Harvard and Stanford. MIT students come to Harvard to take Math 55.

Hope that helps.
P.S you can't go wrong @ Harvard or Stanford. Congratulations on getting into both.

COLUMBIA!!!! New York City opportunities + I personally preferred the campus... so yes, COLUMBIA! It's been a year and no regrets whatsoever :D

Thanks target.

Yea in both the overall academic sense and for what I intend to study, Harvard and Stanford are two of the absolute best. I think my decision will basically come down to the different lifestyles of the two schools.

I hope all y'all seriously turn down Harvard please! This will hopefully open enough seats for waitlestees such as myself to become part of the Harvard Class of 2011.

I will probably turn down Harvard for Rice, which I odn't think anyone's listed on this thread yet. Rice is giving me scholarships, yay. Either Rice or Stanford, or possibly Emory, but most likely Rice.

I wish Harvard was even an option for me.

Turn down Harvard only if you know that the school you will attend is better than Harvard for your major.

I will turn down Harvard for West Dakota Christian Nazerene Bible College.com

I turned down Harvard for MIT.

i'm debating between harvard and northwestern's hpme... but i'm leaning towards harvard because i think i'll have a better undergrad experience and allow myself to grow more as a person

sahweet--I'm turning down Harvard for Rice too. =) Rice also gave me a great scholarship offer. See you there?
