<p>im very depressed right now. i looked at the ED decision stats from last year, even the RD ones, and i just…i know ive done all i can do…but ive wanted to go to cornell for 2 years…and all i want is to see this:</p>

<p>i have a friend who is at harvard now, and at my boarding school, when you get accepted somewhere, you put the letter on your dorm room door. </p>

<p>well. i would go over to her door and she would have a likely letter from yale, an acceptance letter from harvard, an acceptance letter from cornell and princeton. those were the only schools she applied to.</p>

<p>granted she was recruited for hockey and she is also from a foreign country, but still it was probably the most depressing thing ever. THAT is what that letter reminds me of.</p>

<p>The same thing with me. If i don’t get in my life will be a wreck. My brother, who is not as smart as I am, goes to Cornell and if I don’t get in, I’ll never hear the end of it. Come Wednesday, I’ll either be really excited or I’ll be base jumping off of a really tall building without a parachute.</p>

<p>oh wow thats a lot of pressure Zrocker… i was at a MIT presentation once and the guest speaker was like “I attended MIT.. my wife attended MIT… so did my sons and daughters and grandchildren…Our family has 13+ MIT degrees..”</p>

<p>And i was there thinking… omg that sucks if one kid didn’t get into MIT…</p>
