I wish I were there!

There is no place like it anywhere on Earth...trust me, I have looked. Savour it while you still can. Once it is gone, it is really gone!

Michigan Today | U-M Commencement

Class of 08 was lucky. I would love to graduate on the Diag.

Given the immense popularity of the event, maybe the university will consider doing it on the Diag in the future.

Hoedown may know if such crazy talk is circulating around the administration.

Oh wow, that video gave me chills..and I’m only going to be a freshmen lol.

^Yeah!

I wish I could graduate on the Diag too.

It was very expensive and labor-intensive to do it on the Diag. I believe that it would be the University’s preference to NOT repeat that. But who knows, that was the feeling before the event. Maybe the event itself changed minds.

Also, I think the Football stadium after the renovations and additions will be a pretty rocking place. Either way, graduates will have great memories.

Honestly, I and most people I know who went hated graduation this year because there were few places you could sit where you could actually see what was going on and anyone could just walk in and out so it was overcrowded. I got there 40 minutes early and there were already tons of people standing. No matter where I stood, security guards seemed to come over and say I was blocking someone’s way, so I ended up watching graduation from the third floor of Mason Hall.

That looks insane (awesome). Despite some inconveniences that may have occurred, I think it would be awesome if they kept it there. Yeah, the Big House would be cool too, the basketball arena would be acceptable, but commencement is more about academic achievement, and I think that the Diag is the perfect place for it.
