Where you do get "everyone" in your first paragraph?
[/quote]
Iâm sorry. I refer to the âequal treatmentâ crowd, those who want to ignore the initial treatment that got us here, to now give âequal treatmentâ to everyone. Even this "equal treatment" is false, of course, because the damage of the initial mistreatment has trapped us in attitudes and hatreds that makes âequal treatmentâ impossible. Blacks are literally dying faster than whites because doctors, most of whom are whites, are treating blacks differently and worse than they do whites. I think when people speak of âequal treatmentâ, they are either naive or being outright dishonest. They want to overlook all reality, to limit equal treatment to some very narrow area like college admissions. They wish to leave gross mistreatment in place, and then put some false idea of âequal treatmentâ on top of it. It is patently immoral.

Why not we be honest before God here â just shed all falsity and dishonor. If we wish to be honest here about âequal treatmentâ, indeed, honest to the uttermost, then the only way we can acquire equal treatment is to confer on blacks a history of wealth, the same history of dishonor, of physical abuse and slave ownership, the same everything, every single thing where blacks are concerned that now puts whites (and those who have come here to benefit of what whites have done) where they are. We must also confer on whites exactly the same history that now puts blacks where they are. Now THAT is logically equal treatment, and it is exactly what must be done to relieve the sense of harm black people feel. Merely because such a thing is impractical does not eliminate the fact that equal treatment requires that it take place.

Now I have been accused of actually wanting this to happen. I do hope honest and open-minded readers see my point and do not think the accusation is true. I point this out to show the obvious fact that we have a logical imbalance to which we must attend. We must somehow eliminate the legitimate claims that our initial unequal treatment has caused, and do it in such a way that we do not create new claims against us. Up to now, we have only scorned blacks because they have had this legitimate claim. We threw them a few dollars while whites, Asians, white women, and others took them, and then scorned blacks when their claim persisted. We are being dishonest, and simply demanding that the claims be ignored when it is not our natural right to enforce this demand.

I think it prudent to promote a large, and very highly educated population of black Americans who will simply be unwilling to waste energy feeling the claim. They will simply eliminate all claims themselves. I think AA can help here, as a small part of the overall effort to make it happen. America can only benefit from such a thing. Blacks can only benefit. Until this happens, Americaâs immorality is going to continue worming itself throughout the rest of our history, manifesting itself in all sorts of monstrously strength-sapping ways.

What a retarted title.

This title makes me feel sick every time I see it. That is the main reason I wish this thread would die.

hi, iâm mostly filipino but my great grandmother was spanish.

does this mean iâm asian or pacific islander? can i also claim to be hispanic or would my percentage be too minimal?

You are mostly of Filipino descent (by far) so you should refer to yourself as Asian/Pacific IslanderâŠwould you feel right calling yourself Hispanic?

BTW, the term âHispanicâ is used to refer to people from Spain (Spaniards)âŠand âLatinoâ is used for Latin Americans regardless of ancestry.

âŠOh god, necroing an almost 50 page post almost 2 years oldâŠI havenât witnessed such an epic necro in a while.

And so the fiery debates ensueâŠ

And yes. I am Asian. And damn proud of it.

Just reading the first post the OP made⊠(And not wanting to search through 48 pages to see if anyone asked the same question)

If it touched you on a such a personal and offensive level TO you, then why do you hate being Asian? It makes no sense. If you thought it was so untrue, shouldnât you be hating those who made those stereotypes?

Iâm a little more annoyed by your title and your random implication of it than the article that youâre trying to portray as evil. Be proud dammit.

Initial description could just as easily be for the stereotypical pale male. Have sympathy for pale males! Its really freakinâ hard to get a tan, I mean really hard. Hopefullly that kills the post.

I liked that phrase âtexture less math grindâ

Isnât that an oxymoron? Grinding usually involves some sort of texture,

If I ran a university, I would fill it with all the Asians that get rejected from all the top schools and take over the world from there.

I too am a thread necromancer ;).

Thereâs something amusing about it. Quite literally, youâre bringing the thread back to life again.

After I did some research and realized the real nature of college procedure, Asians have a HUGE disadvantage. Too big of a disadvantage that it is actually ridiculous.

maruhan, that is absolute jabberwocky. A HUGE disadvantage, come on.

Just come to California, where affirmative action and consideration of race are officially prohibited in making an admissions decision. Asians, a broad term, make up a plurality at most UC schools, the most selective university system of the two tiered state university system. At UCLA and UCB, asians make up like 40 to 50 percent of the student body.

Most of this whining relates to admissions to ivy leagues and selective private schools. Everybody hates their admissions process. Join the club.

Oh, and drosselmeir, I have one word for you that will blow a good portion of your little theory to bits and pieces: Jews.

jeezâŠguysâŠjust be yourselves and not worry

make of fun of yourselves if you will, but donât complain about who you are if you canât change it

Wow this thread makes me laugh. Itâs weird that people have to try to come up with an excuse as to why asians are smart. âThey get better test scores cause their parents make them study and have no livesâ⊠umm no. We get better test scores just cause weâre smarter. Again this is on a very GENERAL level.

I have a sweet social life, my parents donât have to bang on my butt to make me get good grades. I want good grades myself. I work hard, AND I play hard. Most asians I know also do this.
