Very impressive and you did some extremely impressive ECs before college and have the story (e.g. moved away from home to pursue internship) that most scholarship applicants just don’t or won’t have. Also, the fact that you are a paid scholarship consultant would have been some pertinent information to know in the OP…
With that said, you do seem like a very impressive, smart young lady with a bright future…
@socaldad2002 , IIRC, the OP had started talking about her scholarship journey on CC when she was either in HS or right after. I don’t know if she is a paid consultant or not, but I don’t think she has said anything that needs that disclosure. She has helped many students here on CC, for free.
@CourtneyThurston You have given me excellent help several times and I’ve learned a lot simply from reading all of your posts. I am grateful!
@CottonTales “I don’t know if she is a paid consultant or not”
If you go to her website as she suggested in her post when asked what ECs she did to win the scholarships, you will get your answer:

@socaldad2002, she didn’t link it, and I think the VERY minimal charges are a very petty thing to bring up. She was not advertising her services.
^^ her words "Extracurriculars, just google my name & click the website.“
She could have easily listed her ECs at CC or copy and paste them instead of making the poster have to go to her website, which is exactly what I had to do to know what her activities were.
Not a huge deal but I guess it would have been nice for her to be a little more transparent as most posters here do not give advice with the expectation they will financially gain from said advice.
@CourtneyThurston what an impressive accomplishment! And great website.
Question - do you think your spreadsheet would be useful for a HS student who is just good, not exceptional, with non-unique ECs?
Like I know my D would not be a candidate for major scholarships, wondering about smaller ones.
As others have mentioned, this thread was (1) started before I started by SIDE business, (2) see previous: it’s a SIDE business, and (3) I’m offering advice in this thread and on CC in general, which has nothing to do with that SIDE business.
At the time I made the comment, I believe the only thing on my website WAS a biography.
I appreciate everyone who pointed out that a disclosure isn’t necessary. The two things have nothing to do with each other.
In short: I’m only a “paid consultant” when folks find me through my site and choose to order those services.
I’m NOT a paid consultant on CC forums, where I post for free, to share information.
@scholarme Depends on field of interest, probably. I know of a lot of niche/rarely-applied-to STEM scholarships, since that’s my umbrella field.
I really want to say thank you for all that you do. Following this thread and your comments helped me to find and win so many scholarships. Thank you for being so awesome!
