I wonder what average stats of "EA applicants" must be..lol

People who apply EA, especially I mean Single Choice (SCEA) must have a great reason to why they are applying to Harvard. Does Harvard post up any average statistics, SAT scores, etc.. for those who APPLY SCEA....I mean every school posts their admissions profile and such, but I am sure there must be something like this in some admissions book or something that describes thos special Harvard EA applicants.

No, they do not post stats like that although internally, I'm sure that they do have it.

well, they say the EA applicant pool is stronger than the RD pool, but I've never seen any numbers to corroborate that.
I personally think that the EA pool is probably not in actuality that much stronger than the RD guys.

hopefully not, anyways
;)

yeah, this one guy from my school with a gpa of 2.4, and could not get both the two recs from teacher and one from counselor applied SCEA harvard. and it wasn't a joke either--he was serious about it.

does he think he will get in?

ya his dad must be george bush

i feel bad for people who have hopes of getting in, but in reality have no chance. the worst part is that i may be one of those people :(

but yeah, if my stats aren't too great (well not by harvards standards) should i still apply scea? harvard is my top choice. i would apply even if it was ed.

He thinks he could get in--and his parents are nothing spectacular (no offense). In fact, he borrowed my friend's credit card because his parents would not pay for him...L"OL

What a sad situation. I really don't think we should be mocking him.

it seems rather odd that someone with a 2.4 would apply to harvard but in a weird way its comforting to know that not all 3700 or whatever scea-ers are brilliant nobel prize winners who compete in the olympics in their spare time. it seems that way, sometimes.

Wow... That kid seriously needs to be talked to. Sometimes the truth is something we don't want to hear. No "hook" in the world could get him in, IMO.

He believes his hook is his courage and boldness.
Nevertheless, I think it'd be funny if he gets in, haha.

LOL! Knowing how "messed up" the (and that's the nice way of putting it) Harvard admissions process is, I wouldn't be surprised.

i'm guessing median sat score will be 2230 or 2220 for H, 2240 M, 2210 S, 2190 P, 2230 Y.

ok, my stats are all up at harvards minimum (2100 sat top ten percent is the harvard median scores, and its what i have/think im gonna get.) this when coupled with my ec's should make me competative for rd. should i still apply scea? im a junior so things can change.
