i won't be able to get in anywhere, will i?

i think i'm a top student.
i have a 2310 sat, 3 800 sats, numerous other 720+ sats, 3.8/4.75 gpa, and a heavy course load (7 aps so far, taking 6 this year, for a total of 13). i am also a national merit semifinalist(so far).
because of tuition woes, i only applied to usc and UCs (berk, la, sd, i).

however, it is very likely that i will receive a D in a computer science AP course due to cheating allegations (which i determined to fight). However, i will most likely receive at least Bs in all of my other courses (5 other APs). probably 3As, 2Bs, unless i get 2As, 2Bs, and 1 C.

i know UCs don't look at senior grades until after you've been accepted..
so how will this one D affect my chances of admission, if i report this as soon as my semester grades are released (before decisions)? and, if i were to report this after getting accepted, what are my chances of rescindment? does the fact that it is not a required a-g course, such as english or a third year of math (i will be fulfilling all of those requirements), as well as my heavy courseload, etc.. have any weight at all?

the same goes for USC. i know they ask for midyear reports for most applicants, but i may be accepted in the first wave. will sending my transcript with that one D result in rescindment?

thank you very much for any input.

If you are accepted, then you should be fine.

honestly the “D” is a red flag, but what you should be even more worried about is the cheating allegations. I know its high school, but the UC’s (and all colleges for that matter) take cheating very seriously (zero tolerance policy). Perhaps it won’t show on your transcript, but you’ll have to find a VERY good explanation for the grade. Not judging you, but why would you get yourself in this situation when you’re so close to acceptance? : /

Here’s an old thread that talks about having a D:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/689566-i-am-accepted-ucla-but-i-have-horrible-senior-grades.html

Quote from one of the more experienced posters:

"if your unweighted GPA will fall below 3.0 you need to contact them now. It’s not going to slip by, they will see it when they get your final transcripts. If they’re going to rescind you then you’re better off finding out now while you can enroll at another UC instead of UCLA (assuming you applied to several other campuses); if you wait until summer, you’re going to a Community College if you get rescinded.

And if you act now you have more options, just like it says on the website you use to report the issue UCLA Undergrad Admissions: Admitted Students - Reporting Changes - Freshmen Maybe they’ll let you take a summer-school class and make things up, maybe they’ll say its ok. But the sooner you act (as in today) the better off you’ll be. "

you’re so right; i should have been more cautious.
thank you so much for your input
good news! the teacher believed me and just made me retake the test (: .
i was planning to take a cc programming course so it seems as though i am proactively taking steps to learn the material, and even though now i don’t really need to, i think i’ll be taking the course anyways just in the case the teacher pulls a fast one on me later on.
thanks everyone!
