Hey every one, thanks for taking the time to read and help.

Well I just wanted to know what schools I should apply to with my stats(below).

Writing - 660

Medical Conference (attending this summer)
250 hours of community service hours (medicine related)

Essay - I plan on writing about how my GPA is low due to a medical illness i had causing depression. After finding a donor, I decided I wanted to become a doctor and worked hard for SAT and such.

OKAY SO, where should I apply? Like what kind of schools: top 20, top 50, top 100.

I really want to go to:
Boston University
Baylor University
Emory University

maybe you should try the chance me forum if "[you] would really appreciate if [we] could chance [you]"

on a different subject, what medical conference are you going to? it is most probably a scam and will not help you in admissions

TomHirschfeld--
I posted it there too, didn't get any posts. If you could reply there and chance me, I would appreciate that a lot.

And I am going to Lead America. I've heard criticism about it being too pricey for what they offer but I wouldn't call it a scam. I'm generally going to get some insight into medicine to keep me motivated to pursue medicine.

my advice as far as medical conferences go is to look local. Although you may have already paid for this conference or whatever, there are usually opportunities to do similar things near your home town. Where I live, there is a six week program that lets kids shadow docs, and do some other pre med type stuff, but also teaches them how to cast and sutchure.

also, post on the forums for those specific colleges, it may require some bumps, but that will more accurate than a post on a general forum here b/c there are a lot of people who have some more in depth knowledge about those colleges.
