I will wait until after i get the decision. it could be a love song or hate song :D

Yeah, if I don't get in I'll send them a death metal song.

:-P

anonomousn, is there any way i can hear this?! for some reason it wont play for me because "it doesnt recognize the playlist format" im very curious at this point

Sure, what is your AIM screenname or email address?

Not bad. I hope you get in with this!

Also the hella/hecka posts to this are so hilarious. Hella is such a Northern Californian thing to say. I can't wait to get to the East Coast for college and scare them all with my "Omg that's so hella awesome." We had an exchange student last semester who was fascinated by the Nor Cal slang. He announced one day how he learned that "hella" can also be used for describing large amounts. For example "There are hella guys on the tennis team."

:)

We say "wicked" :)

Haha wicked is wicked awesome.

anonymousn-- i love it! I hope you get into brown! (and i get in toooo, i'm dying to go there)

i forgot to add that you sound like Conor Oberst...

I'll agree with Randy and Paula... you definitely get an A for effort! I hope you get in...don't forget to let everyone know----next year will be the Year of the Copycat College Admissions Song??

Good luck!

"i forgot to add that you sound like Conor Oberst..."

This is the best compliment so far. That man is a genius.

Are you in a band, dude? Does it have a site or myspace or anything?

Unfortunately, no. I just do mostly solo stuff for now, but it is definitely a goal of mine to be part of a full-set band.

I liked it.

It really gives the whole college admissions process a much needed "you + me = <3" aspect that has been replaced by an obsession with numbers and acronyms. So simple. So easy. Just admit me and we'll both be happy.

I hope you get in.

hey Nick, I listened to your song and loved it, very original and very cool.

i was accepted to Brown University as an ED applicant this year and would totally love to see you rock-out next year at a local gig, maybe singing your song too. i know theres open-mic nights all over the place, on and off campus.

not to be a pessimist, but when i applied in November (wow so long ago) i sent in a CD too of me singing (no, not your kinda song, but an actual vocal arrangement of some jazz pieces I did for All-State Vocal Jazz etc. etc.). I attached a cover letter too, but I was informed by the admissions office that when they receive CDs, they immediately send them to the music dept for review -- so sadly, i don't think any admissions office heard ur song. If anything, some random professor at the music dept may have - and if they were friendly and nice, they would put in a good word for you. but otherwise, no admissions officer would have heard it unless the cover letter was specifically descriptive for whatever purpose you imagines.

however, i wish u the best of luck and hope to see you next year on the main green or passing through the van wickle gates :-)

Hmmm... That is unfortunate. But the thing is, I was so general in the cover letter, that I did not even let on that it was any type of sound file. It could have been a powerpoint presentation for all they knew. Whatever the case, do you think I should call them?

hey nick....im listening to your song now....it has become addictive.....the song is stuck in my head 24/7
btw what does nata nogi gago gi ski means?

anata no daigaku ga daisuki - I love your university

:-P

^^ lol....i hope you get in...im rooting for you all the way
btw how do you say i love you and mom?

Thanks man.

So does anybody have any thoughts about calling them to make sure it was heard by admission officers and not the music department?

Is it even necessary? Is it too late anyway?

Nick
