<p>But I guess what I should be asking is would this potentially screw me out of any UC... Is this just a total no no... Because it was the one thing i could really write passionately about for the my world prompt... Nothing else I wrote (one day left) even came close to the impact of this essay. Is it so bad thats its about drug experience????</p>
<p>Overcoming use of pot? It's not really so much the drug experience as much as it is the marijuana itself. You think the people who run Santa Cruz or Santa Barbara, marijuana havens, are going to think "overcoming" pot is something special? I don't mean it as negative; I mean they'll just think of it as "Meh. A high schooler smoked and now he doesn't. Astonishing...."</p>

<p>I wouldn't send anything that proves you were once a user of illegal drugs. I understand that it may have meaning to yourself, but it is really worth the risk. I would choose another topic if I were you.</p>
