please people help me on this... so that i can start working on my applications and send dem asap..
Thanx

is english your mother tongue? if not, i think the schools will mostly look at your math score, which is very good.

stony brook might be a bit of a reach, but i think you've got a good list here. some realistic choices and some reaches.

nope english is not my mother tongue... and i really wana go to stony brook...if i had got 2000+ also .. den also i would have preffered to go to stony brooks...
And ya i forgot..
i was ranked 5th in my 12th grade and 2nd in my 10th grade
had even represented my country as a delegate to UK for the UNEp meet...
Is it a bit difficult to get in stony wit these statistics??

I think you have a decent shot at Stony Brook. At our big comprehensive NY high school the average SAT was 1284/1600 and 1737/2400, average weighted GPA was 92 (about 87 unweighted). I don't know how 100 scale translates to 4.0 scale, but 87 is considered a B+.

oh ok... thanx mathmom...
ok can you like help me list down some more universities with these records where i can apply?

you can definately get into va tech.

virginia tech is costly.. i am applying there with a hope that i may get a scholarship there... but i am not sure if ill be going there without scholarship..
Same with michigan tech.. hope i get admission in stony brooks

any other uniersities where i can apply with scores 1200/1600.. leme know
Maths 700
Cr 500
Thanx

Have you looked at Rensselaer or Worcester Polytechnic Institutes? They are both great engineering schools. (I like both of them better than Stony Brook, but unless you get a good scholarship Stony Brook is likely to cost less.)
