^
I actually thought if OP was able to submit application without signature then they are just likely not to simply review application. Though OP ( I think) states they did type name as replacement for signature.

^^ without a signature, I was able to submit my application. Not signing the signature does not mean that application is incomplete, it only means that I Still submit my application but I just don’t certify the answers i’ve given them are true and was wondering if this would cause a problem.

^I left it competely blank…

^
Ouch. So you saw the option to type signature and you left it blank? I think that it could " cause a problem." Simply due to the university having so many applications they could possibly not review your application due to such reasons ( grades and test scores may be proven true by transcripts etc… but the application was more than such). I definately see why your concern with having a uncertified application submitted to the university you should probably contact your counselor at school for suggestions on what to do or contact University of Michigan admission office ( email, phone, which ever you prefer).

^ but here “By my signature, I certify that all the answers I have given on this application are complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge, and that the
essays represent my own work. I understand that falsification or omission of information or credentials may result in the revocation of admission.
signature date”

My appliation was done on ONLINE and there was no way to sign it plus there was nothing stating that I can type in my signature…So was there an option to type the signature?? I dont understand…My counselor is of no use…I called the school… line was too busy…they don’t have email address for admission office…I would love to blow up :)

^
Oh your confusing me somewhat, I thought you stated that you saw the option to type name for signature but simply underemphasized it. I remember typing my name as a signature ( doubt I’m mistaking it for another university) but simply if you didn’t see the option or it wasn’t there then likely there is nothing ungood about your situation and everything is a normal application.

WTH i specifically remember typing my name out and signing it
but when i checked my application after that space is blank!!!
help!!! can anyone else check their application to see if theirs is blank too???

^ page 6 under the check boxes right?! Mine is blank but its because I didnt type anything. . . :(

i typed my name and its blank
*** *** does anyone else have this?/?

^^
Its suppose to be blank on paper forum, but OP didn’t type their name as a signature at all.

I also typed my name and it was blank on paper form though OP did not type name at all.

okay, so if i typed my name then I should be fine right? even though my preview application online shows it blank??

Wow, this thread is still up?!

Yes, you have to “sign” (type) your name to submit the application. Like Blackpen said, they wouldn’t let you leave out that step and submit the app. However, your signature doesn’t show when you preview the app. It’s supposed to be blank. I got accepted with it blank!!

^
Right, you should be okay.

^^ hey so i submitted my app. does that mean that I unconsciously signed it since it woudnt let me submit if I didnt?
so as long as it is SUbmitted…Im safe?? cuz I thought that box was about certifying the info and does not count in the completion

Yeah, you unconsciously signed it.

also,
i dont remember typing in a date for the signature…
i just sent in my application 2 hours ago so i dont think my memory is too bad

^
I know right, thats odd that some of us typed our name for signature while others the signature option never even appeared on their application. I’m sure I’m not confused with signature by another school since I simply remember the embark format and have not submitted my New York University application yet which was my only other embark app. that I can remember.

Edit: DakotaRocheClone signature will show up blank on paper form for online applications, we are ( well I’am ) confused on why other students who have applied to University of Michigan never typed their name as a signature as you and I remember doing.

haha alright
well my friend is submitting his application soon…today or tomorrow
so i’ll let you know if his signature shows up blank too…

oh this is so weird… I seriously don’t remember signing my signature and I don’t have a goldfish brain
O well its submitted !!

good luck to everyone!

you got everyone so stressed and worried…

yeah just checked with my friend
his section is blank too and he typed his name
we should be finee everyone chill
