IB and GPA???

Hi, I'm prospective international student and I have basic questions about IB and GPA.
(SORRY if there are some errors in my English... I'm not a native English speaker.)

So I'm a senior and is a full IB student. I have been enrolling in IBDP (Diploma Program) for a year now and I'll be completing DP this year.

For American universities, I know that your GPA of grade 9-12 will appear on the transcript. In that case, would my GPA in grade 11 (When I was already in IBDP program) be weighed more? Or, is it just the FINAL IB grade that will be weighed? ...I'm little confused about how IB will be converted to GPA. Thanks in advance!

Which month do you take your IB exams? When are you applying for university entry? 2014 or 2015?

@bourders, I’m taking DP exam in November and I’ll be applying for university in Fall 2014.

It will be your final IB grade that is counted then. Universities are very familiar with the IB grading system. They won’t convert into GPA, it will be kept as a score out of 45.

bouders Oh okay, thank you!
