I'm starting the IB program next month, and I was wondering which subjects I should choose. My dream is to be accepted into the Huntsman Program, as I truly love international affairs and business. Right now I've chose English and Spanish (A1 HL), Maths SL, Biology SL (so I can anticipate it), and Economics and Geography (might do both at HL)
What do you guys think? I know not many of you might be familiar with the IB program, but you basically have to choose a science, two languages, maths, a humanity, and an elective. You take 3 at Higher Level, and 3 at Standard.
I'm an international student btw, my native language is spanish.

Thanks everyone! :)

i’d recommend you do math HL, since Wharton has pretty high standards for math. Economics is also nice to have - I believe they changed the curriculum/syllabus beginning this year so I’m not sure what the difference between HL and SL is now, although I still think Econ HL is good to have, provided the course combo won’t kill you. (;
the IBD students at my school could take a maximum of 4 HL courses.

if you’re planning for your huntsman targeting language to be spanish, then you seem to be on the right track, although you could try contacting the huntsman office and see if they have any further suggestions.

Thanks for the advice, but I’m torn between doing HL Math and doing 3 HLs or doing SL Math and doing 4HL (Geography and Economics).
I’m also wondering if my target language should be french or spanish, which would be more competitive?

Math background is more important than Econ for Huntsman. French and Spanish are both very competitive, but they prefer you not use your native language, so you should apply with French. You would have to take the SAT subject test in French.
