IB/AP Mixed Schedule

I THINK i read somewhere that taking AP calculus was a MUST when applying to ivies and/or really selective colleges. Thing is, I'm in IB and I'm required to take an IB Math my senior year(next year). It's time to decide schedules and heres mine so far:
IB History HL (required)
IB English HL (required)
IB Math SL (required)
AP gov/econ (required)
IB Spanish HL (Required)
IB TOK (required)
AP Calculus? / IB Physics HL? <==== I get a choice here, lol.

Now i would be taking my second year (HL) of physics next year, but due to the fact that i THINK i read somewhere or someone told my ap cal was a must to get into really good colleges I might take that. What do you guys think cause im really stressed out right now i have 2 days to turn in my schedule, should i take ap calc? Does Math SL replace ap calc as a highly regarded math course? Will not taking ap calc hurt me when applying to ivies? Aaaaa im so confused! Any help at ALL will be appreciated. Thanks.

Well, I think it's fine to take IB Math SL. IB Math SL is basically IB Calc, but it's easier than AP. I would take IB Physics. Physics, imo, is a harder class than calc, but i think it looks good to take a hard HL class. Plus, your other HL are humanities classes, and this will make you look like a well-rounded student with IB Physics HL.

do you have room in your schedule to double up?
that's what a lot of IB students at my school do, take both IB maths and AP Calc/Stat

Is there a way you can take HL Math? That one is pretty respected. IB Physics HL also has a reputation as a tough class (at least within the IB circuit, not sure about colleges), so you'll be fine even if you don't take AP Calc and stick with SL because the rigour of HL Physics can probably balance it out.

with you current IBs(not including physics) aren't enough for the diploma. so I could rather complete to six IBs for the diploma(note that TOK is required for diploma candidates but are not considered as a class, because there is no TOK exam)

for college consideretion for credits (not for admission)IB Math SL is like AP calc AB, and IB math HL is like AP calc BC, but in fact is generally known that IB math HL is far more subject and rigous than AP calc as there is more than calculus in the curriculum(complex # linear transform statistic...etc.)

Actually, it's quite debatable about whether HL Math's Calculus is more rigorous than BC Calc's Calculus, because HL Math doesn't do the Delta Epsilon thing, and there's something else where we only learn one method and Calc BC people learn three (my Math vocabulary is obviously lacking). HL Math can be considered (and, IMHO, is) more difficult because of the breadth, not so much the depth.

well I didn't took APs so i don't know how is it...
but it is common to hear that HL math learn more materials especially if you chose the the series+differential equation option...

I took 4 IBs and now I repent didn't took 2 more so I'd have full diploma... strongly suggest complete diploma
