IB/AP results

i know we need to submit our final transcript by the end of our senior year.. but does every enrolled student have to submit the final IB/AP result to JHU as well? or is it optional?

for me, i don't want any college credits because i'm planning to take all introductory classes, eventho i got a 5 on AP Calc AB. so do i still need to submit my final score?

I am pretty sure that you can choose whether or not you want to use the AP credit. That is, if you get a 5 on AP Calc AB, then Hopkins can't force you to take the next higher level math class during freshman year fall semester. You can still choose to take Calculus 1. This applies to all the AP tests (chemistry, biology...)

So submitting your AP results to Hopkins won't really affect you if you don't want to have any previous college credit.

is AP Calc AB equivalent to Calculus 1 at Hopkins? how about calculus 2 and 3?

IB/AP results are not required -- all that is required is your final high school transcript. But as xnwc87 stated, you have the choice of which AP/IB credits you want to take -- so submitting the scores does not make it automatic.

4 or 5 on AP Calculus AB will give you 4 credits equivalent to Calc I

3 on AP Calculus BC will also give you 4 credits equivalent to Calc I

4 or 5 on AP Calculus BC will give you 8 credits equivalent to Calc I and II

i'm doing both IB and AP. when i applied to JHU, i submitted my IB Predicted grades - what if I don't receive those predicted grades in my final results, does that has anything to do with the admission. or in the other words, will i get my admission recinded?

IB predicted and final grades do not matter -- your final high school transcript is what is important and what will be reviewed.
